Job Overview:
The logistics-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Manager for North-East Syria (NES) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics and supply chain operations for Solidarités International’s bases in Raqqa and Hassakeh. This role is crucial for ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant support to the organization's programs in the region. The Logistics Manager will report to the NES Field Coordinator and work closely with the Logistics Coordinator, managing various logistics functions including procurement, transport, warehousing, asset management, fleet operations, and logistics team oversight. The position requires a strong focus on compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements, as well as operational planning and resource forecasting. The Logistics Manager will also serve as the key logistics focal point for NES operations, facilitating coordination and risk mitigation across all bases.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Manager will lead and coordinate all procurement and supply chain activities across NES bases, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities include overseeing supplier management, tendering processes, contract administration, and procurement planning while ensuring compliance with Solidarités International and donor regulations. The role also involves monitoring logistics budgets and contributing to operational planning and forecasting. Additionally, the Logistics Manager will manage vehicle fleet operations, including maintenance, fuel consumption monitoring, movement planning, and driver supervision. They will ensure proper management of assets, telecommunications systems, and IT equipment, including data protection and user support. The position requires overseeing warehouse and storage operations, ensuring appropriate storage conditions, stock accuracy, inventory controls, and compliance with stock management procedures. The Logistics Manager will supervise and support logistics staff across NES bases, promoting adherence to procedures and strengthening the technical capacity of logistics teams. Coordination with program, finance, HR, and coordination teams is essential to ensure logistics support aligns with operational priorities and program needs. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field such as Business Administration. Professional certifications or training in logistics are considered a plus. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 1-3 years in a similar position. Candidates should have a strong background in humanitarian supply chain management, including procurement, fleet, stock, IT, and asset management, along with skills in reporting, compliance, and team supervision. Proven experience in fleet management, warehouse and stock control, and asset management is essential, as well as familiarity with procurement processes and donor compliance requirements.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. Additional training or professional certification in logistics is advantageous and may enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 1-3 years in a logistics management role. Candidates should have substantial experience in humanitarian supply chain management, including procurement, fleet management, stock control, and asset management, demonstrating strong skills in compliance and team supervision.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
