Job Overview:
The position involves supporting the Regional Coordination of the International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026 in Latin America and the Caribbean. The selected volunteers will play a crucial role in the collection, organization, and publication of information related to activities and initiatives for the International Year of Volunteerism in the region. This role is vital for enhancing visibility, sharing experiences, and facilitating learning among countries and stakeholders involved in this global celebration. Volunteers will assist in managing content for the IVY 2026 Knowledge Portal, which serves as a global platform for gathering and disseminating events, publications, stories, campaigns, and best practices from various countries and regions. The overarching goal is to promote the recognition of volunteerism for sustainable development and to support member states and regional partners in their initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Regional Coordination of IVY 2026 in Latin America and the Caribbean by collecting information on activities and initiatives related to the implementation of the International Volunteer Year in the region. - Organize and prepare content for publication on the IVY 2026 Knowledge Portal. - Upload events, stories, publications, photographs, and other resources to the Knowledge Portal. - Follow up on pending content for publication. - Contribute to the visibility and documentation of IVY 2026 initiatives in the region, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately represented and accessible to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Familiarity with digital content management systems and online platforms is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the values of volunteerism and sustainable development, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Educational Background:
A background in communications, international relations, development studies, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of volunteerism and its role in sustainable development, as well as experience in content creation and management.

Experience:
Previous experience in volunteerism, project management, or content management is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in collaborative environments and engaging with various stakeholders, particularly in the context of international development or non-profit sectors.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the role involves working primarily in Spanish-speaking contexts.
