Job Overview:
The Fleet Analyst position is crucial for managing and optimizing the fleet operations within CIMMYT. This role involves overseeing vehicle availability, maintenance planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Fleet Analyst acts as the primary contact for fleet users, providing essential guidance and support on vehicle-related services. The position requires a proactive approach to resolving requests and maintaining accurate fleet records. The Fleet Analyst will also be responsible for analyzing operational data to improve fleet performance and efficiency, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition to support the organization's mission. This role is integral to the smooth operation of transportation services within CIMMYT, ensuring that all logistical needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fleet Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: ensuring optimal vehicle availability by balancing fleet capacity with operational demand; coordinating compliance with preventive maintenance programs and emissions certifications; providing guidance during the insurance claims process; administering the mobility service request platform; promoting efficient use of financial resources by evaluating repair costs; managing vehicle assignments and inspections; analyzing maintenance performance and supplier service levels; preparing and validating operational data for KPIs; monitoring fuel consumption and managing fuel allocations; serving as the primary contact with fuel providers; maintaining accurate records of fleet operations; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, Transportation Management, or a related field. Additionally, applicants should have 4-5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation coordination, or logistics. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes, insurance claims follow-up, and operational coordination is essential. Experience in customer service and direct interaction with users is also required, along with proficiency in ERP systems, ticketing systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or Transportation Management is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the complexities of fleet management and logistics coordination.

Experience:
The position requires 4-5 years of relevant experience in fleet management, transportation coordination, or logistics. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing vehicle fleets, coordinating transportation services, and ensuring compliance with maintenance and regulatory standards. Experience in customer service is also critical, as the Fleet Analyst will interact directly with users to address their needs and resolve issues.

Languages:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English is preferred for this position. This language skill is essential for effective communication with fleet users and for managing documentation and reporting requirements. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
CIMMYT offers an attractive remuneration package that includes benefits beyond the provisions of Mexican Labor Law. This includes a year-end bonus equivalent to 40 days of salary, a vacation premium of 56%, life and medical insurance, supermarket coupons, a savings fund, and social benefits as per Mexican regulations (IMSS, SAR / Infonavit).
