Job Overview: The consultant will provide technical and operational implementation support for the Banco Futuro Initiative, which aims to advance inclusive financing for children and adolescents across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). This role involves working closely with country teams, the LACRO Data and Monitoring Manager, and the Innovative Finance Manager to ensure effective application of the Child Lens Investing Framework. The consultant will be responsible for due diligence, KPI selection, monitoring reporting and verification design, data quality review, and providing technical inputs for project recommendations and investor-facing reporting. The consultant will also support operational work by coordinating inputs, maintaining project documentation, and translating regional guidance into practical tools and deliverables at the country level.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties will include conducting Child Lens Investing Framework due diligence, developing monitoring frameworks, selecting key performance indicators (KPIs), and creating monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) plans. They will also be responsible for identifying data and evidence gaps, preparing project recommendation notes, and generating technical inputs for reporting and investor-facing materials. Additionally, the consultant will coordinate with country offices to ensure effective implementation and support the operational work of the LACRO.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced (Master's) university degree in social studies, international development, finance, economics, public policy, statistics, project management, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree with an additional two years of relevant work experience may be accepted. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, data analysis, results-based monitoring, and innovative finance. Experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder projects across various sectors is also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced (Master's) degree in relevant fields such as social studies, international development, finance, economics, public policy, statistics, or project management. A first university degree with additional relevant work experience may also be considered acceptable.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in project management, data analysis, results-based monitoring, and innovative finance. Candidates should have experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, including international organizations, governments, academia, or civil society.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory for this position. Experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is highly desirable, which may enhance the candidate's ability to engage effectively with regional stakeholders and understand local contexts.
