Job Overview:
The Associate Management and Programme Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting evidence-based decision-making, compliance monitoring, and performance reporting within the UN. This position involves assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of various programs and projects. The analyst will monitor and analyze the progress of these initiatives, identify challenges, and propose solutions. Additionally, the role includes developing communication strategies to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of BTAD's priorities. The analyst will also engage in quality assurance reviews, strategic analysis, and policy development, contributing to the overall mission of the UN. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Management and Programme Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: participating in the development and evaluation of programs/projects; monitoring implementation and analyzing progress; reviewing documents and reports; identifying issues and proposing corrective actions; supporting communication strategies; developing performance metrics; conducting quality assurance reviews; assisting in strategic analysis; facilitating workshops and engagements; researching and presenting information; assisting in policy development; designing data collection tools; preparing written outputs; providing support for meetings and conferences; conducting outreach activities; participating in missions; coordinating budget-related activities; and performing other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, management, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) combined with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted. Certification in project management, such as Prince 2 or equivalent, is also required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of project management principles and practices, as well as the ability to apply analytical skills to support program performance.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, or management. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) may be accepted if accompanied by two additional years of relevant work experience. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of program management and analysis within the UN framework.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project or program management, communications, administration, or a related area is required. Candidates who have successfully passed the United Nations Young Professionals Programme Examination (YPP) or the G to P Examination (G to P) are exempt from this experience requirement. Relevant experience in drafting communication materials, preparing reports or presentations, and supporting outreach or engagement activities is also necessary. Additionally, proficiency in using Power BI for advanced data analysis or reporting is required, highlighting the importance of technical skills in this role.

Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this job opening, proficiency in English is required at UN Level II for reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Familiarity with French is considered an asset, as it may enhance communication and collaboration within the UN's multilingual environment.
