Job Overview: As a Strategic Business Partner at UNICEF, you will be responsible for overseeing operations functions, facilitating change, and providing risk-informed, solution-focused analysis and advice. Your role will contribute to program and management decisions aimed at delivering results for children in specific operational contexts. You will implement strategies to promote technical competence, ensure value for money, enhance risk management, and optimize operational efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to strengthening partnerships and leveraging financial management across the office to achieve organizational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement people resource strategies to promote technical competence and foster career progression and retention of a fit-for-purpose workforce.
Champion strategic resource allocation to achieve organizational goals and ensure value for money.
Enhance risk management practices to improve organizational performance and strengthen internal controls.
Ensure operational centralization and optimization for maximized efficiency gains.
Strengthen internal and external partnerships, leveraging UNICEF’s oversight and understanding of financial management across all areas of the office.
Manage complexity and change effectively within the organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a University Degree (Bachelor’s) in Business Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Public Finance, or related fields. A professional license from internationally recognized institutions is considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate emotional intelligence, financial assurance, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage complexity and change effectively.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Public Finance, or related operations functions is required. Additional qualifications such as a professional license from recognized institutions will be advantageous.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
