Job Overview: The Research Analyst position focuses on supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives in Punjab, Pakistan. The Research Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and international partners, to ensure that the SDGs are integrated into local development strategies. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to reports and publications that highlight progress towards the SDGs in the region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research on the SDGs and related development issues in Punjab, including data collection and analysis.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to gather qualitative and quantitative data relevant to the SDGs.
Analyze trends and patterns in data to provide actionable insights for policy formulation.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings and recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or international organizations is an advantage.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, economics, or a related field is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in research, data analysis, or policy development related to sustainable development. Experience in working with international organizations or UN agencies is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Urdu or Punjabi is an asset and would be considered a plus.
Additional Notes: The position is for an individual contractor and the assignment is expected to last for 220 days over a period of 12 months. The contract may be extended based on performance and project needs. This role is full-time and requires the candidate to be based in Punjab, Pakistan. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
