Job Overview: The Programme Associate (Data & Info) position is based in the WFP Field Office in Karachi, Pakistan. The job holder will report to the Programme Policy Officer (Nutrition) and will work under the overall supervision of the Head of the Provincial Office. This role is crucial for assisting in all matters related to nutrition programming in the most vulnerable districts of Sindh. The Programme Associate will be responsible for managing information related to nutrition and safety net programs at the provincial level, ensuring accurate data management and reporting. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Cooperating Partners (CP), to enhance the effectiveness of nutrition initiatives. The job holder will also play a key role in capacity building for CP staff, ensuring alignment with WFP's program policies and guidelines. This position is vital for the successful implementation of nutrition programs aimed at preventing stunting and addressing acute malnutrition.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Associate (Data & Info) include providing technical support for the development and implementation of nutrition activities, strengthening the capacity of CP staff in data management, and ensuring timely submission of reports and invoices. The job holder will review budgets and proposals from CPs, facilitate data compilation for project requirements, and prepare reconciliation reports for specialized nutritious food programs. Additionally, the Programme Associate will manage beneficiary registration systems, assist in cash distribution planning, and ensure compliance with WFP's data protection policies. The role also involves preparing various reports and data analyses, ensuring accurate data entry in WFP systems, and acting as a liaison with stakeholders to support project implementation. Regular field visits will be required to monitor activities and address operational queries, as well as collaborating with M&E teams to manage complaints and feedback mechanisms.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate or a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health/nutrition, project management, or development studies being desirable. A minimum of 6 years of experience in public or private sectors, particularly with provincial, national, or international organizations, is required.
