Job Overview: The Youth Participation Intern will support the Lifelong Learning, Protection, and Development section, focusing on youth participation. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's responsibilities include supporting the Youth Advisory Board's functioning and engagement, establishing and coordinating an alumni network, implementing the Youth4Change initiative, engaging with potential partners for the YOMA initiative, and supporting activities under the Global Partnership for Education grant. The intern will also assist in knowledge-sharing activities, both online and offline, and draft success stories that showcase youth leadership and opportunities. The intern will report directly to the Chief of Section and collaborate with team members across various sections, developing a work plan that outlines key activities and performance indicators.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in social sciences, sociology, education, anthropology, social work, psychology, communications, marketing, public health, or related fields. Excellent academic performance is required, as demonstrated by recent university records. The intern should possess strong analytical skills, excellent report writing and presentation skills, and effective communication abilities.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to be enrolled in or have graduated from a relevant degree program in social sciences or related fields. This includes disciplines such as sociology, education, anthropology, social work, psychology, communications, marketing, and public health. Recent graduates within the past two years are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the academic performance criteria.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in youth participation, accountability, and advocacy for youth-related issues is required.
