Job Overview:
The Mechanical Technician position at CERN involves contributing to the development, assembly, and installation of RF components for the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) galleries. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician include designing mechanical components and assemblies using CATIA (both 2D and 3D CAD), supporting the full project lifecycle from design to documentation, and managing the procurement of parts and materials. The technician will also be responsible for project tracking and coordination, preparation and packaging of equipment, and installation and commissioning on site. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a strong background in mechanical design and experience using 2D/3D CAD software, preferably CATIA. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, is also required. Experience in an industrial, laboratory, or research environment is considered an asset. Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a general secondary education diploma. Candidates must be nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. It is important to note that applicants with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree are not eligible for this position.

Experience:
