Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the 'Scaling Up Economic Empowerment and Systemic Integration' project, which aims to enhance the resilience and socioeconomic empowerment of vulnerable women and men in supportive communities. This position involves coordinating capacity-building activities, fostering partnerships, and implementing community-based interventions to strengthen the capacities of partner community-based organizations (CBOs) and enhance livelihood opportunities for vulnerable groups, especially girls and young women. The Project Coordinator will work closely with Plan International Egypt teams, partner organizations, and local stakeholders to deliver training and social entrepreneurship activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination among all partners. Additionally, the role includes monitoring project progress, documenting lessons learned, and promoting knowledge-sharing to support project scaling and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include supporting and following up on capacity-building activities with partner CBOs, conducting field visits to monitor progress and identify challenges, organizing reflection sessions to gather feedback and document lessons learned, coordinating with consultants and service providers for assessments and trainings, supporting the delivery of social entrepreneurship and livelihood programs, managing logistics and administration for project activities, collecting and analyzing data and feedback to inform improvements, and contributing to monitoring and reporting, including inputs for donor communications. The Project Coordinator will also ensure compliance with Plan International's global policies on safeguarding and gender equality, and may take on additional assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the international non-governmental organization (INGO) sector, is required. Experience working with government entities and civil society organizations on livelihoods, economic empowerment, or community development projects is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong planning, conducting, and facilitating training and workshops, as well as a solid understanding of the socio-economic and governance context in Egypt, particularly the challenges faced by vulnerable and marginalized groups. Proven skills in documentation, reporting, and analysis of lessons learned and project outcomes are also necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a similar field. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of community development, social empowerment, and the specific challenges faced by marginalized populations in Egypt.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of success in similar roles, particularly in the INGO sector. Experience in working with government entities and civil society organizations on projects related to livelihoods, economic empowerment, or community development is highly desirable. Candidates should also have experience in planning, conducting, and facilitating training and workshops, demonstrating their ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all applications must be submitted in English. Proficiency in Arabic is also essential, given the local context of the project and the communities involved. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they relate to the communities served by the project.

Additional Notes:
This position is based on-site and is open to Egyptian nationals only. There are four vacancies available, located in Assiut, Sohag, Beheira, and Damietta, all of which are in Upper Egypt. The role reports to the Upper Egypt Area Manager and is classified at Hay Level 1
