The OHCHR works to strengthen international human rights mechanisms, enhance equality, combat discrimination, and ensure accountability and the rule of law. The organization plays a crucial role in integrating human rights into development and economic policies, widening democratic spaces, and providing early warning and protection in situations of conflict and violence. The OHCHR operates in multiple countries, focusing on various human rights issues and working towards the realization of human rights for all individuals.

They will research and draft internal and external notes and reports, prepare daily news updates on the human rights situation, and support the dissemination of international standards through social media. Additionally, interns will assist in engaging stakeholders with UN human rights mechanisms, integrate human rights perspectives into national and regional policies, and help organize workshops and seminars. Participation in meetings and conferences, taking notes, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role.
