Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the operations within a non-governmental organization (NGO). Interns will learn about the relationship between the headquarters, coordination, and field operations. The internship aims to expose interns to various activities on the ground across different intervention sites, allowing them to discover the various professions involved in humanitarian work. Interns will gain insights into the functioning of a mission, its constraints, and the relationships between different associative actors. They will also have the opportunity to learn and apply various purchasing procedures, manage project follow-ups, and utilize different financial tracking tools. This role is crucial for those looking to build a career in humanitarian logistics and finance, as it provides hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will assist the logistics and finance manager in understanding the market and updating purchasing tools in compliance with donor regulations. Responsibilities include managing program and logistics orders, overseeing the transport and storage of goods before technical teams intervene, and assisting in the search for product donations for hygiene kits. The intern will also be responsible for archiving and centralizing logistical documents, updating accounting journals, and managing billing and prepayments. Specific tasks include assisting in market studies and supplier searches, preparing purchase files via the LINK platform, ensuring proper receipt of purchases, facilitating transportation of goods, and participating in the compilation of logistical documents for final reports. The intern will also assist in organizing travel for team members, managing stock inventories, and participating in the distribution of hygiene kits. Additionally, the intern will support all accounting tasks, including compiling individual credit card tracking, verifying and archiving supporting documents, and contributing to monthly and annual accounting closures.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a background in humanitarian logistics, accounting, financial management, project management, development, international relations, or political science. They must possess strong administrative skills to undertake an internship in France. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and writing skills, good synthesis and prioritization abilities, proactivity, critical thinking, organizational skills, and the capacity to work under pressure. A strong interest in issues related to access to water in France is also important, along with a commitment to the principles and work of Solidarités International. Fluency in French at level C1 is mandatory, and a valid driving license (Permis B) is required.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have completed or be pursuing a degree in humanitarian logistics, accounting, financial management, project management, development studies, international relations, or political science. This educational background will provide the necessary theoretical foundation to effectively engage in the responsibilities of the internship.

Experience:
While prior experience in logistics or finance is not strictly required, any relevant internships or volunteer work in humanitarian settings will be considered an asset. The organization values candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic environment of humanitarian work.

Languages:
Fluency in French at level C1 is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly English, is considered a plus but is not required.

Additional Notes:
The internship is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. The internship requires a formal internship agreement. Compensation will be provided in accordance with current regulations, calculated based on actual hours worked. On average, one month of work equates to 154 hours, or 22 days at 7 hours per day. Transportation costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and interns will receive meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day worked, with a 60% contribution from the organization.
