Job Overview: The E T Consultant position at the World Bank Group is a pivotal role within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU). This unit is instrumental in enabling the organization to fulfill its mission of eradicating extreme poverty and enhancing shared prosperity through the delivery of transformative information and technology solutions. The Digital Solutions team, which the consultant will be a part of, is responsible for providing modern productivity, collaboration, and endpoint solutions to over 30,000 users globally. The consultant will support Microsoft 365 service delivery and automation initiatives, ensuring that seamless collaboration tools are available for the global workforce while driving efficiency through innovative solutions. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality technology solutions that meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Platform Engineering Analyst will report to the ITSDS Team Lead and will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks related to Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing the Microsoft 365 suite, overseeing site administration and governance, leveraging Microsoft Graph API for automation and reporting, and contributing to the design and implementation of scalable platform solutions. The consultant will also participate in platform design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements, and design automation solutions using Power Platform and PowerShell. Additional duties include supporting email security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and compliance solutions, working with security teams to implement platform security controls, monitoring platform performance, troubleshooting issues, and providing operational support for the M365 platform. The consultant will also develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights for IT operations and engage stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of platform solutions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the IT field. A minimum of 3 years of Microsoft 365 administration expertise is required, along with a strong background in email security and compliance. Programming skills in PowerShell, Python, and Power Platform are essential, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. A strong customer focus and the ability to manage client expectations are also critical for success in this role. Candidates should hold relevant Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Messaging Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, and Microsoft Fundamentals, as well as ITIL V4 Foundation and SAFe Practitioner certifications. Additional certifications in Cloud Engineering and DevOps are preferred.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Candidates with equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered, particularly those with a strong foundation in IT and relevant certifications.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing Microsoft Office 365 productivity tools. Candidates should have experience in securing the Microsoft 365 platform and familiarity with systems administration disciplines such as capacity planning, performance analysis, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments. Experience with email security and compliance is also essential.
