Job Overview: The position involves providing advisory services as an international expert to conduct a Digital Readiness Assessment (DRA) in the Transport Sector of Ecuador. Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough assessment of the current digital readiness in the transport sector of Ecuador.
Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights and data relevant to the assessment.
Analyze existing digital tools and technologies used in the sector.
Identify gaps in digital capabilities and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
Prepare and present a detailed report outlining the findings of the assessment, including strategic recommendations for enhancing digital readiness.
Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders to validate findings and gather feedback.
Collaborate with local experts and organizations to ensure the assessment is contextually relevant and aligned with national development goals.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders during the implementation of recommended strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Proven expertise in digital transformation and readiness assessments, particularly in the transport sector.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working with international organizations or government agencies in similar roles.
Knowledge of the transport sector in Ecuador or similar contexts is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Educational Background: A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Transport Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in digital transformation or project management would be an advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in digital transformation, with a focus on the transport sector or related fields. Experience in conducting assessments and providing advisory services to government agencies or international organizations is essential. Proven track record of successful project management and stakeholder engagement is also required.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the assessment will be conducted in Ecuador. Proficiency in English is also required to ensure effective communication with international stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the region would be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is offered as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 160 days. The expert is expected to work full-time during the assignment period.
