Job Overview: The Communication Consultant will play a crucial role in assisting the CC Secretariat with the implementation of the communication strategy for the new cycle. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple communication channels effectively, ensuring that the CC's presence is felt across various platforms. The consultant will be responsible for producing editorial content, managing visual design, and maintaining digital channels, all while ensuring alignment with UPU's communication standards. Duties and Responsibilities: The Communication Consultant will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Content Production and Editorial: Developing editorial content for various communication outputs, proposing quarterly editorial line-ups, crafting key messaging, and ensuring all content aligns with institutional voice and standards.
Visual Design and Brand Consistency: Designing communication materials, developing visual assets for digital channels, ensuring visual consistency, and staying updated with design trends.
Digital Channel and Platform Management: Maintaining the CC webpage, coordinating with the CC Secretariat, monitoring interactions in the CC WhatsApp Community, and tracking channel performance.
Member Relations and Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with CC members for communication materials, maintaining contact lists, supporting outreach to prospective members, and acting as a point of contact for communication-related matters.
Strategy and Cross-Departmental Coordination: Supporting the implementation of the CC communication strategy, coordinating activities with the UPU Communication program, refining communication mechanisms, and producing periodic reports on communication activities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in communications, particularly within an international or intergovernmental organization context. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential, with familiarity in Premiere Pro being desirable. Experience in managing digital channels and social media platforms, including content scheduling and performance analytics, is required. Additionally, candidates should have experience with newsletter production tools and confirmed experience with a Website Content Management System, preferably Kentico. Excellent writing and editing skills in English are mandatory, with a proven ability to produce clear institutional content for diverse audiences. Experience in member or stakeholder communications, particularly in a multilateral or membership-based context, is also required.

It is important to note that the conditions of service are governed by the terms of the consultant contracts of the UPU International Bureau. Experts working under these contracts are not eligible for the UPU pension scheme and do not receive family allowances. Candidates are required to take out health insurance at their own expense for the duration of their employment. Furthermore, candidates currently employed by postal entities must be released by the relevant postal authority to be considered for this consultancy.
