Job Overview: The Experienced Finance Technical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the NRC in Yola, Adamawa State. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Experienced Finance Technical Assistant include:
Adhering to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
Implementing delegated support function portfolio according to the plan of action.
Preparing and developing status reports as required by management.
Identifying and sharing ideas for improvement within the Finance Team.
Ensuring all financial transactions, cash handling, and payment processes comply with the Financial Handbook, organizational policies, donor requirements, and audit standards.
Maintaining accurate daily cash counts and ensuring timely posting of all financial transactions into relevant cashbooks and bank ledgers.
Safeguarding the office cash box and ensuring proper cash custody procedures are followed at all times.
Processing payments to staff, vendors, contractors, and service providers in accordance with approved contracts, agreements, and organizational procedures.
Facilitating and monitoring bank transactions, including transfers to staff and vendors, while ensuring timely follow-up and reconciliation. 1
Serving as the focal point between the Area Office and Field Offices regarding cash advances and banking-related transactions. 1
Monitoring and clearing staff advances while maintaining updated records of outstanding balances. 1
Organizing, maintaining, and updating financial records in both hard and soft copy formats. 1
Ensuring all finance documents are properly coded, stamped, filed, and archived in line with organizational and SSD guidelines. 1
