Job Overview:
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Digital Content Consultant will work under the guidance of the Adolescent Development Manager. This role focuses on producing and managing digital content and delivering training programs aimed at raising awareness and fostering inclusive practices to combat discrimination. The consultant's work will directly contribute to the National Response in Italy program, which supports the protection and social inclusion of Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASC) as well as young migrants and refugees. The consultant will be responsible for creating engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences and promotes understanding and acceptance of different backgrounds and experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage digital content that educates and raises awareness about diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly in relation to UASC and young migrants.
  • Design and deliver training programs for various stakeholders, including educators, community leaders, and youth workers, to promote inclusive practices.
  • Collaborate with other UNICEF teams and external partners to ensure the content aligns with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and digital content, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in digital mobilization and educational activities related to diversity and inclusion.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members and stakeholders on issues related to discrimination and inclusion.

Required Qualifications:
  • A Master’s Degree in social science, political science, education, anthropology, or communication is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in digital mobilization and educational activities, particularly with adolescents and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training for adults, with a focus on inclusivity and diversity.
  • Familiarity with web-based platforms and experience in managing websites is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience working with refugees, migrants, asylum seekers, and internally displaced groups is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and manage multiple communication priorities effectively.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as social science, political science, education, anthropology, or communication. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of social issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly in the context of working with vulnerable populations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. This experience should include digital mobilization and educational activities specifically targeting adolescents and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Candidates should also have a proven track record in designing and delivering training programs for adults, as well as experience working with web-based platforms and managing websites. Experience with refugees, migrants, and other displaced groups is also essential.

Languages:
Fluency in both Italian and English is required for this position. This bilingual proficiency is necessary to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and to create content that is accessible to a wide audience. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the consultant's ability to engage with various communities.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this consultancy is 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs. This position is full-time and is based in Rome, Italy.
