Job Overview: As the Mass Market Fundraising Manager, you will be stationed in the Seoul office and report directly to the Head of Mass Market Fundraising for IRC Korea. This role is pivotal in expanding the supporter base and increasing income primarily through sustainer-giving channels and audience development. The position emphasizes innovative approaches to fundraising while ensuring that donor needs and expectations are met. You will collaborate closely with External Relations colleagues and external stakeholders to support the broader IRC Korea team. Your authority includes leading and developing the fundraising strategy and program, particularly focusing on offline channels, especially Face-to-Face fundraising. You will also oversee one F2F fundraising officer as a direct report, ensuring effective management and execution of fundraising initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the implementation and delivery of sustainer acquisition through a diverse mix of offline channels. This involves:
Implementing strategic, multi-year plans and budgets for mass-market fundraising aimed at recruiting new sustainer donors through various acquisition channels, notably Face-to-Face.
Monitoring progress against strategic plans and budgets, producing regular fundraising and activity reports, and tracking other agreed KPIs.
Making informed recommendations for future campaigns based on insights and learnings.
Collaborating with relevant internal stakeholders to develop creative, innovative, and targeted fundraising campaigns that engage both new and existing supporters, maximizing all fundraising opportunities.
Enhancing the value, diversity, and longevity of the private fundraising income stream through effective stewardship, integrating acquisition and retention plans, and identifying growth opportunities.
Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
Complying with IRC's culture and policies in Korea and within External Relations, representing IRC in a manner that fosters appropriate communication with supporters and stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with other departments and teams within IRC globally.
Attending meetings, conferences, and training courses as directed, and adhering to IRC’s organizational policies and practices, including the IRC Code of Conduct. 1

Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a hands-on attitude and experience working in a fundraising environment. You should be enthusiastic and diligent, demonstrating excellent campaign management skills. Experience across Face-to-Face and other offline channels is desirable, as is experience in managing agencies. A strategic thinker who is highly organized, you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail is crucial, along with the demonstrated ability to maintain positive, collaborative, and productive relationships with external suppliers and internal staff at all levels. Flexibility to respond quickly to changes in short-term work priorities is essential, as is a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. A commitment to the goals and values of the IRC is also required.
Educational Background: Candidates should be educated to degree level, which provides a foundational understanding necessary for the role and its responsibilities.
Experience: The position requires a level of experience that includes working in a fundraising environment, with a preference for candidates who have experience in Face-to-Face fundraising and managing fundraising campaigns. Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders and managing fundraising agencies is also desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Korean is mandatory, as the role requires effective communication with local supporters and stakeholders. Proficiency in English is also required to facilitate communication within the international context of the IRC and to engage with global teams and resources.
