Job Overview: The Data ManagementAnalyst/Sr. Data Management Analyst position within the Corporate Services and Facilities (CSF) department of the IMF is a critical role focused on enhancing the organization's operational resilience through effective data management and analysis. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Section Chief of the Business Continuity and Crisis Management Section, engaging with various departments and external stakeholders to address the information management needs associated with operational resilience projects. Duties and Responsibilities: The major duties and responsibilities of the Data Management Analyst/Sr. Data Management Analyst include:
Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between staff and various stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships with clients and system development partners to ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into IT solutions that deliver value.
Work Management: Under the oversight of the Section Chief, create and manage project plans and budgets aimed at the successful rollout of configuration or process changes.
Design and Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Operational Resilience Tool (ORT) and content repositories that support the Fund’s operational resilience objectives.
Data Processing: Conduct data processing and validation of system performance, assess data quality, perform Quality Control analysis, and implement improvements to existing IT architecture to meet end-user needs.
Technical Support: Provide in-house technical support to modify the system based on evolving business needs.
Documentation: Create user guides, quick reference charts, and update websites (SharePoint) to reflect end-user requirements.
Dashboard Design: Design and update dashboards, metrics, and performance measures to facilitate effective monitoring and reporting.
Problem Solving: Identify solutions to issues arising from system or technology process implementations and provide options for consideration that align with IT policies and standards.
Communication: Effectively communicate with clients and system development partners to ensure successful implementation of changes and user acceptance. 1
Learning and Training: Support the coordination and preparation of learning materials, organize classes, provide hands-on training, gather feedback, and create metrics for improvement. 1
Logistics Support: Assist with the logistics of resilience exercises and support the Crisis Management team as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent in programming/systems, computer science, statistics, information technology, mathematics, or a related field of study. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent data management and analysis skills, along with a proven track record of managing projects within a solutions environment. Candidates should be able to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure, both autonomously and as part of a team. A sound knowledge of the software development life cycle is essential, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, or any other project mapping tool is preferred. Experience with Salesforce or Fusion Risk Management is also desirable. Preferred experience includes operational resilience, business continuity, and/or risk management.
Educational Background: A university degree or equivalent in programming/systems, computer science, statistics, information technology, mathematics, or a related field is required for this position. Experience: Candidates should have a demonstrated level of experience in data management and analysis, particularly within a project management context.
