Job Overview:
The Program Assistant position at the World Bank Group is designed for a motivated and proactive individual who possesses excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Assistant will undertake a comprehensive range of administrative tasks, including but not limited to: managing the workflow for the Executive Director and other senior staff, preparing and processing sensitive information, scheduling appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, and prioritizing correspondence. The role also involves drafting and formatting documents in both English and Arabic, responding to inquiries, maintaining contact lists, and ensuring that all necessary materials are prepared for meetings. Additionally, the Program Assistant will provide research support, assist in managing service tasks performed by administrative staff, and participate in official events and seminars, including the World Bank/IMF Annual and Spring Meetings. The position may also require accompanying the office team to member countries during these meetings.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with an undergraduate degree preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and a proactive approach to office support. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Familiarity with the constituency countries is desirable, and candidates should be adept in using various computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and communication tools like Webex and Teams.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma as a minimum, with a preference for candidates holding an undergraduate degree. This educational foundation should be complemented by relevant work experience that equips the candidate with the necessary skills to perform effectively in a high-pressure administrative environment.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in an administrative support role. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks, working under time pressure, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced setting. Experience in a multicultural environment and familiarity with the operations of international organizations would be advantageous.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as the Program Assistant will be required to draft and respond to correspondence in both languages. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered a plus, but English and Arabic are the primary languages needed for effective communication within the role.
