The agency's Country Programme Document (2025-2029) reflects lessons learned from past experiences and outlines the Area-Based Recovery (ABR) Framework, which emphasizes community recovery and the conditions necessary for returning to a development pathway in Ukraine.

Job Overview:
The Procurement Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of procurement services in alignment with UNDP rules and regulations. This position is integral to supporting the implementation of ABR projects and achieving programmatic goals. The incumbent is expected to promote UNDP's commitment to gender responsiveness and uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards discriminatory and abusive behavior, including sexual harassment and exploitation. The role involves facilitating procurement processes, ensuring compliance with operational strategies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of procurement activities. The Procurement Analyst will also be responsible for fostering an inclusive workplace culture that respects diversity and promotes gender equality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Implementation of operational strategies for ABR: Ensure full compliance of procurement activities with UN/UNDP rules and regulations, and implement effective internal controls. 2) Contribute to procurement processes for ABR projects: Assist program personnel in preparing procurement plans, organizing procurement processes, preparing Purchase Orders and Contracts, and managing internal control systems. 3) Implementation of sourcing strategy: Conduct market research for procurement cases related to ABR projects. 4) Facilitation of knowledge building and sharing: Provide procurement guidance, synthesize lessons learned, and contribute to knowledge networks. 5) Promote gender equality and a safe workplace: Foster an organizational culture of gender equality, respect diversity, and ensure adherence to corporate policies on harassment and exploitation. 6) Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management. They should demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, effective decision-making skills, and the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes. Knowledge generation and the ability to apply existing concepts to new situations are also essential. The candidate must be committed to promoting gender equality and creating an inclusive workplace.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a relevant educational background, typically a degree in business administration, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement or project management may be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of several years of relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or related fields. Experience working in international organizations or development contexts is highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of managing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the regions where UNDP operates, is considered an asset.
