Job Overview: The English Teacher position at DRC is designed to enhance the English language skills of the organization's staff members, thereby fostering effective communication within the organization. The role is crucial for improving cross-cultural communication and collaboration among staff, which is essential for achieving DRC's mission. The English Teacher will report to the Support Services Manager and will be responsible for designing and delivering English language group courses tailored to the varying proficiency levels of staff members. This includes customizing lesson plans and materials to accommodate individual learning needs, ensuring that all staff members can effectively communicate in English. The teacher will also monitor and evaluate learner progress and prepare staff for English language certification as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: The English Teacher will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including: designing and delivering English language group courses for staff members; assessing and accommodating different proficiency levels among learners; providing individual instruction tailored to various proficiency levels; customizing lesson plans and materials to meet individual learning needs; improving cross-cultural communication within the organization; enhancing staff collaboration and effectiveness; responding to exceptional administrative requests as agreed with the line manager; implementing innovative teaching strategies and materials; monitoring and evaluating learner progress; and training staff to obtain English language certification as needed.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the English Teacher position, candidates must possess a higher education degree in a relevant specialty or an equivalent professional qualification. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate adaptability in tailoring instruction to different learning styles and levels, uphold high professional ethics, and have a solid understanding of privacy policies. A certified level of English proficiency is mandatory, along with proficiency in written and spoken Ukrainian. Strong communication skills, stress resistance, and a positive attitude towards tasks are desirable traits. Certification in relevant teaching qualifications is preferred, as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Educational Background: Candidates are required to have a higher education degree in a relevant field or an equivalent professional qualification that demonstrates their capability to teach English effectively. Experience: The position requires at least 3 years of work experience in English teaching.
