Job Overview: The director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of Humanity & Inclusion's 2026-2029 Strategy in Afghanistan, which operates in a complex and challenging environment. The Country Director will be responsible for ensuring the quality and impact of the organization's activities, managing the program effectively, and embodying the values of HI. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to navigate geopolitical complexities, and a commitment to the organization's mission of supporting vulnerable populations. The Country Director will also be involved in fundraising, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with HI's global frameworks and institutional policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Management: Serve as the top manager of the program organization, embodying and transmitting HI values, ensuring compliance with the code of conduct and institutional policies, and conducting a Program Steering Committee with direct managers.
Deployment of HI Strategy: Develop and implement the Program’s Operational Strategy, monitor its annual progress, and ensure compliance with HI global frameworks and standards.
Legal Representation: Act as the legal representative of HI, promoting a positive image and negotiating operational partnerships.
Influence and Leadership: Develop external influence and representation of HI in forums and strategic alliances, advocating for the organization's mandate and policies.
