Job Overview:
The position of Full-Stack Software Developer with DevOps experience at CERN involves being an integral part of the Web, DevOps, and Authoring section within the IT-PW group. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of the .CERN top-level domain management and hosting services. This role requires a blend of software development and operational skills, focusing on enhancing the infrastructure that supports CERN's web services. The developer will work on the Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure based on OpenShift/OKD4, which is crucial for hosting various public websites associated with CERN. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Full-Stack Software Developer include supporting and integrating the handling of the .CERN top-level domain, which encompasses the automation of certificate procurement and renewal processes. The developer will implement features for CERN's web infrastructure services, including the Web Services Portal, and enhance functionalities such as information retrieval from .CERN sites. Additionally, the role involves working with version control systems, CI/CD workflows, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift. The developer will also be expected to engage in continuous feedback loops with users to improve services and ensure high levels of user satisfaction.
