Job Overview:
The consultant position is focused on providing technical assistance to expand educational initiatives in diverse sociocultural contexts, aligning with UNESCO's principles and approaches. The consultant will support UNESCO staff in evaluating the Social Model of the Alberto Baillères Foundation, which aims to enhance educational opportunities and promote equity and inclusion. This role involves working collaboratively with various stakeholders, including educational authorities, civil society, and private sector partners, to ensure quality education for all children and youth. The consultant will engage in activities that include evaluating educational transformations, training educational figures, and disseminating best practices across communities in Mexico. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt strategies to different educational environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for participating in the implementation of evaluations of the Social Model in selected schools across three Mexican states. Key duties include providing guidance based on UNESCO's principles, documenting and systematizing evaluation processes, conducting field missions, and collaborating with UNESCO and the Alberto Baillères Foundation teams. The consultant will also prepare work plans, activity schedules, and reports on the assistance provided to expand the Social Model. Additionally, the consultant will draft and finalize reports, educational materials, and presentations, ensuring they meet the satisfaction of the UNESCO office in Mexico. Maintaining constant communication with the coordinator and adhering to deadlines for deliverables is essential.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree and a postgraduate degree in Pedagogy or Educational Sciences. They should have at least 10 years of proven experience in the educational sector, particularly in educational evaluation, pedagogical advisory roles, community education, and project development in basic and/or upper secondary education within the Mexican National Educational System. Strong analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills are required, along with proficiency in information and communication technologies. Candidates should demonstrate socio-emotional skills for teamwork, leadership, and entrepreneurship, as well as advanced academic writing abilities. Knowledge of participatory and qualitative research methodologies, the Mexican educational system, and UNESCO's educational perspectives and the United Nations' 2030 Agenda goals are also essential.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have a university degree and a postgraduate degree in relevant fields such as Pedagogy or Educational Sciences. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of educational systems and the methodologies necessary for effective evaluation and implementation of educational initiatives.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the educational sector, with a focus on roles related to educational evaluation, pedagogical support, community education, and project development. Languages:

The contract duration is set for 8 months, and the position is classified as a Level 2 - Middle Consultant role. The work location is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in how the consultant engages with the project.
