Job Overview: The Senior SAP Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Specialist will play a crucial role in the Technology Division of WFP, which is responsible for the digital transformation of the organization. This position is pivotal as WFP undergoes a significant modernization of its data ecosystem, transitioning from SAP ECC to S/4HANA and migrating SAP BW to SAP Datasphere. The consultant will ensure the integrity and coherence of the business intelligence landscape during this conversion, providing senior technical oversight and guiding the future direction of the analytics environments. The consultant will be expected to lead impact assessments, oversee data models, coordinate BI impacts across platforms, and validate external supplier deliverables, ensuring that the transition aligns with corporate standards and enhances data quality and readiness.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior SAP Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Specialist will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: leading impact assessments to ensure the technical integrity of the BI landscape throughout the S/4HANA conversion; establishing standards, architecture, and criteria for solution validation; overseeing the S/4HANA data model to ensure alignment with corporate standards; defining and driving the SAP Data Cleansing Roadmap; coordinating BI impacts across platforms such as SAP Datasphere, Business Objects, and Tableau; enabling analytics and operational tools in line with the new Strategic Plan and Corporate Results Framework; validating external supplier deliverables; approving SAP Datasphere data models; updating and optimizing Business Objects Universes and reports; refreshing and validating Tableau dashboards; providing regular progress updates and risk assessments; and producing technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials to support long-term system sustainability.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in business administration, information technology, or related fields. They should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT services and solutions, with a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in the analysis, solution design, and validation of BI and Analytics solutions, as well as solid knowledge of SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and SAP data modeling. Proficiency in SAP data and reporting platforms, including SAP BW/BI, SAP HANA, and SAP BusinessObjects, is essential. Familiarity with project and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps and experience working within Agile and Scrum methodologies are also required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage and integrate data from multiple systems, are crucial for this role.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in business administration, information technology, or other related fields.
