Job Overview:
The Information Management (Protection Unit) Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the information management activities within the Nouadhibou office. This position is supervised by the Head of Field Unit and involves close collaboration with the entire Nouadhibou team, as well as the Information Management Officer and the Protection team in Nouakchott. The intern will be responsible for assisting in various activities related to information management, including registration, refugee status determination (RSD), community-based protection, and mixed movements. The intern will also contribute to the production of reports and other supporting documents, ensuring that the information management processes are efficient and effective. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and quality of data used for decision-making and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including: participating in the production of dashboards, statistics, and visualizations to support decision-making and presentations; assisting with the cleaning, harmonization, and quality control of data received from the field and partners; preparing monthly and weekly reports related to protection and assistance activities; supporting the design and administration of data collection tools such as Kobo and online forms; assisting with managing monitoring systems like ProGres v4 and RAIS; contributing to service mapping and geolocation of services, flows, or interventions as needed; participating in training or providing technical support to partners and colleagues on information management best practices; ensuring the archiving, organization, and secure storage of documents and files related to data management; providing occasional support for administrative tasks; and performing any other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a degree or certificate in information technology, information management, statistical data management, or a related field. Additionally, the candidate should have strong analytical skills and be proficient in data management practices. Familiarity with data visualization tools and software is also desirable. The intern should be detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Educational Background:
A degree or certificate in information technology, information management, statistical data management, or another related field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage and analyze data, which is crucial for the role.

Experience:
