Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Field Assistant include monitoring the implementation of UNHCR programs, assisting in administrative tasks such as report preparation, acting as an interpreter during exchanges of routine information, collecting relevant data for reporting, maintaining regular contact with local authorities and implementing partners, and assisting in the reception and registration of persons of concern. The incumbent will also follow up on the situation of refugees in camps and other accommodations, liaise with local authorities and partners, and support risk management and decision-making processes. Additional responsibilities include performing other related duties as required, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders involved in the refugee response.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma, or 1 year of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Essential qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience in outreach and counseling, and familiarity with cash assistance programs. Knowledge of the operational context and relevant UNHCR experience in field-related activities is desirable.
