Job Overview: The position of Consultant expert en finance durable involves providing specialized expertise in sustainable finance. The consultant will be responsible for developing strategies and frameworks that promote sustainable financial practices within the context of UNDP's mission. This role requires a deep understanding of financial systems, investment strategies, and the principles of sustainability. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and civil society organizations, to implement sustainable finance initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Consultant expert en finance durable include but are not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of current financial practices and identifying opportunities for integrating sustainability.
Developing and proposing innovative financial solutions that support sustainable development initiatives.
Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement sustainable finance strategies.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Master's degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field. A Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Additional certifications in sustainable finance or related areas will be considered an asset.
Experience: The level of experience needed for the Consultant expert en finance durable position is typically at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in sustainable finance, investment analysis, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations, government agencies, or NGOs in the context of sustainable development is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully implementing sustainable finance projects or initiatives is essential.
Languages: The mandatory language requirement for this position is proficiency in French, as it is the primary language of communication in Benin. Good to have languages include English, which would be beneficial for engaging with international stakeholders and accessing global resources.
Additional Notes: This position is offered as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration will be specified in the Terms of Reference (TDR). The consultant is expected to work full-time on this project, with flexibility in working hours as needed.
