Job Overview:
The Programme Support Consultant will be responsible for supporting the planning, development, and monitoring of programs of work with FAO development partners. This role involves providing technical and administrative support, identifying issues, and proposing corrective actions. The consultant will also be involved in the review and monitoring of project documents, contributing to corporate exercises for planning and reporting on results achieved through project design and implementation. The position requires coordination of activities related to budget and funding, as well as assisting in policy development and communication efforts. Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will participate in the development and monitoring of assigned programs and projects, providing necessary technical or administrative support. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in fields such as economics, development studies, political science, social science, international relations, business administration, management, information systems, communication, or related areas. Relevant educational background with specific academic or technical qualifications in the required field of expertise is also acceptable. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of relevant experience for category C, five years for category B, and ten years for category A, focusing on results-based project/program planning and monitoring, communication, and financial planning.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree is required, recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO, in relevant fields such as economics, development studies, political science, social science, international relations, business administration, management, information systems, or communication. Specific academic or technical qualifications within the required field of expertise may also be considered acceptable.

Experience:
Candidates should have varying levels of experience depending on the category they are applying for. For category C, at least one year of relevant experience is required; for category B, a minimum of five years; and for category A, at least ten years of experience in results-based project/program planning and monitoring, including practical experience in project support and monitoring, communication, and financial and budget planning.

Languages:
A working knowledge (level C) of English, French, or Spanish is mandatory. Limited knowledge of one of the other two languages or Arabic, Chinese, or Russian would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this position.
