Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Coordinator will implement NRC's financial systems and procedures at the area level, ensuring adherence to the NRC Financial Handbook and donor requirements. Responsibilities include preparing and submitting financial reports, maintaining budget control, monitoring cash flow, and leading the financial verification process. The coordinator will support the Area Manager and budget holders in preparing donor budgets and revisions, lead monthly budget monitoring processes, and ensure accurate and timely booking of transactions in the accounting system. Additionally, the coordinator will develop and implement internal control procedures, manage petty cash and bank accounts, conduct financial monitoring visits to local partners, and prepare documentation for audits. The role requires ensuring that all supporting documentation is complete and verified before payment is released, and coordinating with the Country Office Finance Manager to close monthly transactions and balance accounting periods.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least 5 years of working experience in a similar financial position, along with a university degree in Accounting. Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts is essential, as well as documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. A good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory, and fluency in written and spoken Farsi is also required. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as banking procedures in Iran, is necessary for this role.
