Job Posting Organization:
The organization is a Syrian national NGO known as AHF (Assistance for Humanitarian Foundation). Established with the mission to provide humanitarian services and social development programs, AHF aims to empower Syrian society through institutional efficiency and effective partnerships. Job Overview:
The position is for a volunteer role that involves graphic design and editorial work. The selected volunteers will assist the Media team in creating and refining media materials that are essential for the organization's annual report, capacity statement, profile, and presentation. The annual report will consist of approximately 50 to 60 pages, while the capacity statement will be 5 to 7 pages, the profile will be 40 to 50 pages, and the presentation will be 30 to 40 pages. All materials need to be designed in both Arabic and English, adhering to the organization's communication guidelines. This role is crucial for promoting the organization and marketing its products to partners and donors, thereby enhancing the visibility and impact of AHF's work in Syria.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Media team to understand the design requirements for the annual report, capacity statement, profile, and presentation.
  • Create visually appealing layouts for the media materials in both Arabic and English.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with the organization's communication guidelines.
  • Deliver the final designs in a format that allows for future updates and modifications.
  • Work on refining existing materials based on feedback from the Media team.
  • Maintain clear communication with the team to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss progress and any challenges faced during the design process.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong editorial skills, with the ability to create engaging content in both Arabic and English.
  • Familiarity with communication guidelines and branding principles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.

Educational Background:
A background in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant certifications or degrees will be given priority, but practical experience and a strong portfolio may also be considered sufficient qualifications.

Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience in graphic design and editorial work, ideally within a non-profit or humanitarian context. Experience working with bilingual materials (Arabic and English) is highly desirable, as the role requires the ability to create content in both languages.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory, as the materials will be produced in both languages. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This is a volunteer position, and the duration of the contract is not specified. The role is part-time and can be performed remotely, allowing for flexibility in working hours. Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support humanitarian efforts in Syria.
