Job Overview: The role of Asistente Técnico de Educación is crucial in contributing to the implementation of educational activities aligned with NRC's programmatic strategy in Colombia. Duties and Responsibilities: The Asistente Técnico de Educación will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring compliance with NRC's policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines; supporting the implementation of the education project portfolio according to the action plan; developing and maintaining knowledge of educational competencies in the area of work; organizing and executing tasks based on priorities; preparing and developing reports required by the Coordination or Education management; promoting ideas to strengthen support functions; contributing to the prioritization of areas for active search and identification of children and adolescents for educational programs; analyzing conflict-sensitive education and applying it in NRC's interventions; supporting the implementation of relevant activities in the country office's action plan; designing and planning strategies for emergency education responses; developing workshops and training processes for designated participants; facilitating the delivery of information and skills to participants on safe behaviors and other strategies; contributing to the efficient development of logistical, administrative, and security procedures; supporting the effective achievement of project results and indicators; consolidating participant information according to NRC-defined instruments; contributing to the preparation of reports on participants and services delivered; providing inputs for documents on obstacles faced by the population in accessing their rights; participating in planning, coordination, and project management routines; coordinating follow-up plans with target groups; and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor to meet the objectives of the position.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Asistente Técnico de Educación position should possess a professional degree or be in their final semester of studies in Social Sciences or related disciplines such as Sociology, Anthropology, or Pedagogy. Alternatively, candidates with relevant technical training (e.g., Social Work, Teacher Training) will also be considered.
