Job Overview:
As a Tools & Process Coordination Engineer at CERN, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Long Shutdown 3 project within the EN-ACE group. This position requires a detail-oriented engineer who will focus on ensuring the reliability of planning data, enhancing planning and reporting tools, and providing support to stakeholders. The role is integral to process harmonization and workflow optimization, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in large-scale international engineering projects. You will be responsible for managing and improving CERN's planning tools, coordinating planning activities across teams, and preparing documentation and reports for management. Your contributions will help streamline processes and harmonize workflows within the group, making a significant impact on the overall efficiency of operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of planning data while managing and improving CERN's planning tools as Business/Product Owner.
  • Gather requirements and provide user support for planning tools.
  • Coordinate planning activities across EN-ACE teams and facilitate user meetings.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for management.
  • Streamline processes and harmonize workflows within the group.
  • Analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various activities and initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong knowledge and experience with information systems, planning tools, and data management. A proven ability to analyze, optimize, and improve processes is essential, along with the capability to coordinate stakeholders and support cross-functional activities. Familiarity with information structuring and quality management is also required. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are necessary to succeed in this role.

Educational Background:
Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering or a related field. Candidates without a university degree are not eligible for this position, and those with a PhD are also not eligible. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in engineering principles and project management.

Experience:
Candidates should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation. This experience should be relevant to the role, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a technical environment and contribute to engineering projects.

Languages:
Fluency in both spoken and written English and French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication within the diverse international environment at CERN.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 24 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 36 months. The working hours are set at 40 hours per week, and the job is fully onsite. The target start date for this position is April 1, 202
