Job Overview:
The Principal Quality Digital Resilience Engineer will play a crucial role in leading the digital resilience strategy of the organization. This position is designed for a hands-on leader who will define and implement frameworks that ensure mission-critical systems remain operational during disruptions. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding principles from recognized standards such as DORA, NIST, and ISO 22301 into the organization's technology and processes. This role requires collaboration across various teams, including IT, Cybersecurity, and Business Continuity, to ensure that resilience is integrated into infrastructure and cloud platforms like Azure, M365, and SAP. The engineer will also oversee IT service continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring that the organization is prepared to withstand and recover from various threats, including cyberattacks and system outages. This position is ideal for someone passionate about operational resilience and looking to make a significant impact in a complex hybrid environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Principal Quality Digital Resilience Engineer will be responsible for owning the end-to-end digital resilience framework, ensuring alignment with the Bank's enterprise risk, continuity, and IT strategies. This includes compliance with recognized standards and regulatory frameworks such as DORA, NIST 800-53, and ISO 2230
  • The engineer will document, approve, and test IT service continuity plans, disaster recovery playbooks, and crisis escalation procedures. They will support teams in embedding resilience into design and runbooks, ensuring comprehensive coverage for both infrastructure and application-level scenarios. The engineer will develop and lead a resilience testing calendar that includes tabletop exercises, failover and failback testing, communication drills, and live scenario simulations. They will coordinate efforts across IT, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security, Capability teams, legal, compliance, and business continuity functions to ensure a unified approach to resilience. Regular briefings to senior risk committees and support for regulatory engagement will also be part of their responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of digital operational resilience principles, aligned with regulatory and best practice frameworks such as DORA, NIST 800-34/53, ISO 22301, and enterprise risk management standards. They should have experience in conducting business impact assessments, technology risk analysis, dependency mapping, and scenario-based testing to evaluate the resilience of critical business services and IT assets. Additionally, experience in developing and maintaining IT service continuity plans, disaster recovery playbooks, and incident response procedures is essential. The ability to drive continuous improvements through post-incident reviews and tabletop exercises is also required. Familiarity with cloud and hybrid environments, such as Azure, M365, and SAP, is necessary, along with the ability to interpret telemetry, SLAs, and failover mechanisms to assess and strengthen service resilience.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is essential for this position, with candidates typically expected to hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications in business continuity, risk management, or cybersecurity, such as ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, CISSP, or CRISC, are highly desirable and may enhance a candidate's qualifications for this role.

Experience:
Candidates should have significant experience in digital resilience, with a proven track record of working in roles that require a deep understanding of operational resilience principles and practices. Experience in leading resilience initiatives, conducting assessments, and developing strategic frameworks is crucial. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT service management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.

Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for a duration of three years.
