Job Overview: The Lead Intelligent Process Automation role is designed to lead a team focused on process optimization through automation within the GSSC. This position aims to foster a culture of efficiency and high-quality service delivery while improving business processes across various service delivery streams. Duties and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include leading Intelligent Process Automation initiatives, enhancing collaboration, building relationships, and developing skills within the team. The role involves improving the delivery of results, fostering innovation, and integrating advanced automation technologies to optimize business processes. The candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process optimization, implementing automation solutions, and delivering measurable improvements in solution quality and business impact. Additionally, the role requires clear communication of complex technical issues to various stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of GSSC’s mission through collaboration among the five key streams: Digital and Data Innovation, Business Process Innovation, Customer Support Services, Knowledge Management, and Release/Demand Management.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology management, business administration, or a relevant technical field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with seven years of professional experience may be accepted. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with progressive responsibility in business analysis, system analysis, solution design, and software development is required. Experience in requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and functional specification development is also necessary, along with a strong emphasis on AI-driven software engineering and automation solutions.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree in a relevant field is required. A first-level university degree combined with seven years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. The educational background should be aligned with the technical requirements of the position, focusing on areas such as computer science, software engineering, or business administration.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with progressive responsibility in relevant fields. Candidates should have experience in business analysis, system analysis, solution design, and software development/configuration. Specific experience in developing automation solutions using RPA technologies and workflow automation platforms is essential, along with experience in programming languages and scripting tools. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to a range of audiences.
Languages: Fluency in both spoken and written English is required. Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered an advantage, while knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is an asset. The role requires effective communication skills in multiple languages to engage with diverse stakeholders.
