  • The consultant will specifically focus on the chapter concerning China, which includes gathering data on transportation authorities, regulations, emergency numbers, and various operational practices. Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
  • Data Collection and Consolidation: Updating the country chapter for China, which involves gathering comprehensive information on transportation authorities, regulations regarding maximum permissible weights and dimensions, requirements for the carriage of dangerous goods, driving time regulations, mandatory satellite tracking systems, and other critical transport-related data.
  • Data Verification and Coordination: Engaging with relevant stakeholders such as government officials, transport operators, and service providers to verify the accuracy of the collected data. This step is essential to ensure that the information presented in the handbook is reliable and up-to-date.
  • Report Drafting: Writing the updated country chapter of the handbook, following a structured outline developed in collaboration with the consultants. This will require strong writing skills and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Development of Information Templates: Creating an Excel template to facilitate the collection and consolidation of high-quality technical data. This template will serve as a tool for organizing the information systematically and ensuring consistency across the data collected.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree and have at least 7 years of professional experience in the field of road transport, border crossing, and transit issues. A strong practical knowledge of these areas is essential, along with experience working with government agencies, transport-related stakeholders, and international organizations. Educational Background:
