Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include providing technical leadership in travel administration, managing operational support and guidance for the Travel unit, overseeing transactional service management, and ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies. The role also involves people management, including developing and maintaining high-performing teams, and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance service delivery. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring performance delivery and ensuring quality of work within the Travel administration function.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completed university degree in Public/Business Administration or a related field. A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in administration, particularly in Travel Management within an international organization, is required. Proven supervisory and people management experience is highly desirable, along with working experience in ERP systems such as SAP. Familiarity with UNICEF/UN Travel Units and travel administration in a shared services context is also advantageous. Knowledge of UN/UNICEF's rules and regulations is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completed university degree in Public/Business Administration or a related field. This foundational education is essential for understanding the complexities of travel administration and the operational needs of UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in administration, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in Travel Management within international organizations. Experience in supervisory roles and managing high-performing teams is highly desirable, as is familiarity with ERP systems like SAP and UNICEF's travel administration processes.

Languages:
Fluency in both spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, a working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered an advantage, while knowledge of another official UN language such as Arabic, Chinese, or Russian is an asset.
