Job Overview: The consultant will be responsible for developing a comprehensive training programme aimed at professionals supporting children-victims of violence within Multi-Disciplinary Integrated Approach (MDIA) services. This role involves creating a detailed competency framework, learning objectives, and training delivery methods tailored to the Polish context. The consultant will also map existing training modules, identify gaps, and develop three online training modules that incorporate interactive elements and multimedia content. The training programme must be child-centered, trauma-informed, and aligned with international standards, ensuring that it addresses the specific needs of vulnerable groups, including refugee children and those from ethnic minorities. The consultant will lead consultations with stakeholders and present deliverables during key meetings, ensuring that all materials comply with ethical standards and child safeguarding policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a training programme for professionals supporting child-victims of violence, including a competency framework and tailored learning objectives.
Map existing training modules for Polish MDIA professionals and identify gaps.
Create three online training modules with structured content, interactive elements, and evaluation frameworks.
Lead consultations and validation workshops with stakeholders.
Prepare and present deliverables during meetings with key stakeholders.
Ensure all materials are child-centered and aligned with relevant standards.
Collaborate with UNICEF staff and other consultants on content digitalization and technical requirements.
Maintain regular contact with UNICEF RRO to review progress and challenges.
Submit all drafts and reports in Polish and ensure compliance with ethical standards and data protection laws.
Required Qualifications:
At least a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Medicine, or related disciplines.
Minimum of 7 years of experience working with children-victims of violence.
At least 5 years of experience in multidisciplinary cooperation in cases of violence.
In-depth knowledge of capacity building tools for professionals and training methodologies.
Strong understanding of the psychosocial needs of children who have experienced violence.
Familiarity with case management strategies and relevant quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning tools.
Experience in designing e-learning tools is highly desirable.
Educational Background: A Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Psychology, Social Work, Law, or Medicine is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop effective training programmes for professionals working with children-victims of violence.
Experience: The consultant must have a minimum of 7 years of proven experience working directly with children who have been victims of violence. Additionally, at least 5 years of experience in multidisciplinary and intersectoral cooperation is required, particularly in cases involving violence and case management. The consultant should also possess in-depth technical knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating capacity-building tools for professionals.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as all drafts and reports must be submitted in English. Fluency in Polish is considered an asset, as it is essential for understanding the local context and communicating effectively with stakeholders in Poland.
Additional Notes: The position is a consultancy role with specific tasks and deliverables outlined, including the development of training programmes and modules, mapping existing training, and leading consultations.
