Job Overview: The Operations Support position at WHO involves providing essential support services across various operational areas, including finance, human resources, procurement, logistics, and information technology management. The incumbent will work under the supervision of an operations professional or higher-level support staff, contributing to the efficient delivery of services and transactions. Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: supporting the delivery of services in specialized operational areas; sharing information with clients and partners regarding procedures and regulations; maintaining consistency in service delivery; escalating process improvement suggestions; providing financial support services, including budget administration and payments; assisting in human resources functions such as recruitment and onboarding; managing procurement processes; offering IT support for day-to-day operations; overseeing logistics and transportation administration; and managing inventory and organizational assets. The role also includes travel administration, processing requests, and ensuring compliance with WHO's operational standards.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a completion of secondary education and relevant training or certification in operational service areas. Essential qualifications include a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in administering support services in operational areas such as finance, human resources, procurement, or information technology management. Desirable qualifications include experience in administrative support roles within WHO or another UN agency and familiarity with Oracle-based systems or other enterprise resource planning systems. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to competing priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary education. Additionally, candidates should have training and certification in one or more operational service areas or systems relevant to the role.

Additional Notes: This position is classified as 80% full-time employment, with an annual base salary starting at EUR 13,942 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance).
