Volunteers will be instrumental in linking the foundation with development partners and strategic networks, thereby enhancing the institute's capacity to deliver quality training programs. The focus is on creating pathways for employment and self-employment for youths and women affected by poverty, displacement, and limited access to education. Volunteers will contribute to the overall mission of transforming lives through skills development and economic empowerment.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A passion for social justice and a commitment to empowering disadvantaged communities.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, communications, or a related discipline is preferred. Additional training or certifications in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit management would be an advantage.

Experience:
Previous experience in proposal writing, fundraising, or resource mobilization within a non-profit organization is highly desirable. Volunteers should have a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all proposals and communications will be conducted in English. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Northern Uganda would be an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
This is a volunteer position with flexible hours, allowing individuals to contribute based on their availability. The role is focused on supporting the Purewish Institute of Innovation and Technology's establishment and sustainability efforts.
