Job Overview:
The Partnerships Specialist (Foundations) role is situated within the Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section of UNICEF. This position focuses on maximizing engagement and driving income growth from faith and membership-based organizations. The incumbent will be responsible for developing strategies to enhance partnerships, providing capacity building to National Committees and Country Offices, and facilitating the retention of existing partners while building new ones. The role involves collaboration with various teams to support new business development discussions, sharing best practices, and managing relationships with key partners. The incumbent will also contribute to strategic mapping and the development of tools that position UNICEF as a partner of choice.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for growing the faith and membership giving revenue stream through market capacity building. They will act as a focal point for National Committees and Country Offices, particularly in Asia/Pacific and Northern Europe, supporting their revenue streams. The role includes collaborating with key markets to establish a pipeline of prospects, conducting strategic mapping, and developing key enablers and tools for effective partnership management. Additional responsibilities include building a global Community of Practice, creating a database of technical guidance notes, and supporting various projects as needed. The post holder will also contribute to discussions for key markets, support partnership development, and facilitate workshops for learning and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in international development, fundraising, marketing, theology/religious studies, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted. A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in fundraising or partnerships is required, with at least two years working directly with faith or membership organizations. Experience in managing high-value relationships and familiarity with the global fundraising landscape is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in international development, fundraising, marketing, theology/religious studies, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in fundraising or partnerships, with at least two years of experience working for or directly with faith or membership organizations. Experience in managing high-value relationships and familiarity with the global fundraising landscape is required. Experience supporting Asia Pacific and Northern Europe markets is considered an asset, as is previous UNICEF or UN experience.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset.
