Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of generators and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in generators and associated equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance operations.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
Provide technical support and guidance to local staff on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field. They should have proven experience in generator maintenance and electrical systems, with a solid understanding of electrical safety standards. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Certifications in electrical maintenance or related areas will be considered an asset.
Educational Background: A minimum of a diploma or degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field is required. Additional certifications in generator maintenance or electrical safety are highly desirable and will enhance a candidate's profile.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, specifically with generators. Languages: Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as it is the official language of Guinea-Bissau. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be necessary for communication with international teams and documentation.
