Job Overview:
The Events Producer and Editor will play a pivotal role in supporting the creation of impactful events that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the overall mandate of the United Nations Office for Partnerships. This position requires a creative and organized individual who can develop event concepts, manage technical aspects of production, and ensure high-quality outputs that resonate with diverse audiences. The incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with various teams within the UN to facilitate and broadcast events, ensuring that each event serves as a blueprint for action and fosters collaboration among stakeholders. The role involves not only the technical execution of events but also the strategic planning and creative development of content that reflects the themes and objectives of the UN's initiatives. The Events Producer and Editor will report directly to the Chief of Service for Outreach and Advocacy and will work closely with other team members to achieve the office's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be tasked with a comprehensive set of responsibilities that include: developing the overall event concept and implementation planning; participating in planning meetings to define objectives and technical requirements; creating concept notes, scripts, and storyboards; editing graphics and video packages for broadcast; assisting with technical setups for events; directing and operating cameras for live sessions; ensuring broadcast quality productions; editing recordings for on-demand distribution; archiving and organizing recorded content; operating advanced camera equipment for live and pre-recorded productions; collaborating with content teams to interpret event themes; integrating motion graphics and interactive installations; delivering a comprehensive final event package; and preparing post-project presentations that summarize design outcomes and lessons learned. The role also requires the ability to provide technical specifications and liaise with AV teams and vendors, as well as participate in regular planning meetings and presentations to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a first-level degree from a recognized university or an institution of equivalent status. Additionally, a minimum of two years of experience in editing or a related field is required. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in creating videos and graphics for outreach materials, as well as experience in the production of high-level events and special projects. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The position requires a first-level degree from a university or an institution of equivalent status. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary theoretical knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the role of Events Producer and Editor within the UN Partnerships office.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in editing or a related field is required. This experience should include a strong focus on video production and graphic design, particularly in the context of outreach materials. Candidates should also have experience in managing the production of high-level events and special projects, demonstrating their ability to handle complex tasks and deliver high-quality results under pressure.

Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory for this position, as English is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
