Job Overview:
The internship is designed to support the operational activities of the international logistics of the NGO. Under the supervision of the Stock, Transport & Customs Referent, the intern will assist in various themes including strategic stock management, organization of humanitarian transports, documentary compliance, and customs logistics. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain insights into humanitarian logistics and the supply chain of an international NGO, while also developing transversal skills within a dedicated team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for several key missions:
  • Stock Management: This includes receiving, checking, and preparing materials, monitoring stock levels and inventories using ERP systems and tracking tables, verifying documentation, ensuring quality control, and reorganizing storage spaces.
  • Transport Organization: The intern will prepare, package, and ship materials, draft transport documents, coordinate with service providers, track shipments, and manage any anomalies that arise.
  • Customs Support: Responsibilities include collecting and updating customs procedures by country, verifying customs clearance files, and conducting regulatory research. The intern will also contribute to harmonizing customs practices.
  • Logistics Purchasing: The intern will assist in monitoring purchases, suppliers, and contracts, check supporting documents, and participate in sourcing activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: The intern will update logistics procedures and tools, capitalize on best practices, and participate in cross-functional Supply projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bac +3/+4/+5 level education in international purchasing, international trade, or logistics. A genuine interest and motivation for the associative and humanitarian sector at an international level is essential. The ideal candidate should be curious, positive, and possess strong writing and administrative skills. Good interpersonal skills and a preference for teamwork are important, along with rigor, organization, autonomy, analytical capacity, and adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required, and fluency in English is necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a Bac +3 level, with a preference for candidates holding Bac +4 or Bac +5 degrees in fields related to international purchasing, international commerce, or logistics. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian logistics and supply chain management.

Experience:
The position is an internship, so prior professional experience is not strictly required; however, any relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, or humanitarian work would be advantageous. The intern should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the fast-paced environment of humanitarian operations.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered a plus, particularly languages relevant to the regions where SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL operates.

Additional Notes:
This internship is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. The internship is subject to a mandatory internship agreement. Compensation is set at 5.60 euros per hour, calculated pro-rata based on actual hours worked each month (approximately 154 hours per month, equating to 22 days of 7 hours each). Public transport costs will be reimbursed at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and interns will receive meal vouchers worth 8.90 euros per day worked, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL contributing 60% of the cost.
