Job Overview:
The Intake and Support Worker LVP position is a full-time, permanent role that operates fully from home. The primary function of this role is to provide empathetic support to victim-survivors of intimate partner violence through a support line, intake, triage, and client support. As the first point of contact, the worker will assess risks, listen with empathy, and connect individuals with appropriate support services. The role requires a proactive approach to safety planning and risk assessment, ensuring that victim-survivors receive timely and effective assistance. The worker will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and collaborating with colleagues and partner services to enhance the program's effectiveness. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Intake and Support Worker include: answering calls and online inquiries with empathy and professionalism; conducting thorough risk assessments related to family, domestic, and sexual violence; developing and updating safety plans with victim-survivors; explaining program eligibility and guiding individuals through the application process; connecting victim-survivors to appropriate support services; assisting with safety planning, referrals, and mandatory reporting; monitoring evolving risks and updating support plans accordingly; maintaining accurate records and collaborating with colleagues and partner services; tracking queue and working time using Genesys; receiving and maintaining up-to-date records using Salesforce; adapting to program improvements as the service evolves; and being flexible to undertake various functions across the client journey as program needs change.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent qualification. They must also be eligible for registration with at least one professional body, such as AASW, ACA, AHPRA, or PACFA. Candidates should be willing to undergo necessary checks, including a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check, and must have the right to work in Australia. Availability to work between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm in their respective time zone is also required. Proven experience in a support line, intake and triage, crisis response, or high-volume client support role is essential, with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans in relevant contexts.

Educational Background:
