Job Overview:
The position of Global Roster of Climate Finance Expert Consultants is designed for individuals who are experts in climate finance and are committed to supporting UNICEF's mission of promoting children's rights and well-being in the context of climate change. The role involves providing technical expertise and strategic guidance on climate finance initiatives that impact children and their communities. Consultants will be expected to engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations, to develop and implement climate finance strategies that align with UNICEF's goals. The position requires a deep understanding of climate finance mechanisms, policies, and practices, as well as the ability to analyze and assess the implications of climate change on children's rights and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice and technical support on climate finance initiatives that benefit children and communities.
• Collaborate with UNICEF teams and partners to develop and implement climate finance strategies and programs.
• Conduct research and analysis on climate finance trends, policies, and best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to advocate for the inclusion of children's rights in climate finance discussions and decisions.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of climate finance initiatives on children's well-being and development.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to UNICEF leadership and partners.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in finance, environmental science, international development, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in climate finance, including knowledge of funding mechanisms, policies, and practices.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess the impact of climate change on children's rights and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and implementation of climate finance initiatives.
• Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and values, as well as a commitment to promoting children's rights.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess an advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a relevant field such as finance, environmental science, international development, or public policy. A strong academic background in climate finance or related disciplines is essential for this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in climate finance, international development, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies on climate finance initiatives is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully managing projects and engaging with stakeholders is essential.

Languages:
