Job Overview: The position of Consultant for Communications and Support in Publications at UNESCO Santiago is primarily focused on providing communication support to the LLECE. The consultant will also engage with member countries to strengthen communication efforts and ensure effective dissemination of information. The position demands a proactive approach to identifying communication opportunities and producing various communication materials, including newsletters, social media content, and reports. The consultant will also coordinate webinars and other informative activities to enhance visibility and engagement with stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will have a wide range of duties and responsibilities, including:
Creating and implementing the 2026 Communication Plan for the LLECE, focusing on the dissemination of ERCE 2025 results and other ongoing projects.
Coordinating with communication counterparts in member countries to strengthen alliances for effective dissemination.
Supporting the design and editing of the publication plan associated with the LLECE, particularly for ERCE 2025 results.
Assisting in the production, editing, and publication of thematic documents and reports, ensuring compliance with UNESCO guidelines.
Maintaining regular communication with research consultants to ensure timely delivery of documents.
Producing various communication content, including newsletters, social media posts, and interviews.
Coordinating webinars and informational activities, managing logistics, and ensuring successful execution.
Documenting and reporting on missions, events, and activities relevant to the LLECE projects.
Providing transversal support in writing and editing internal documents and communications. 1
Participating in meetings with consultants and management to coordinate project themes.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A university degree in communication sciences or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications, media management, or corporate communication.
Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans at an organizational level, particularly in international organizations or foundations.
Experience in publishing documents within international, public, or foundation institutions.
Professional experience in coordinating project information for dissemination across various platforms to different stakeholders.
Strong ability to identify communication opportunities for effective project dissemination both in Chile and internationally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and a good command of English.
Personal competencies such as analytical thinking, decision-making, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple themes.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a university degree in communication sciences or a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the principles of effective communication, media relations, and strategic messaging, which are critical for the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should encompass various aspects of communication, including media management, corporate communication, and strategic planning.
