Job Overview:
The Case Manager (Social Inclusion & Integration) will play a crucial role in supporting the socio-economic inclusion of migrants, particularly in areas related to labor market access, education, and community engagement. This position requires a proactive approach to case management, ensuring that migrants receive timely and culturally appropriate information and referrals to available support services. The Case Manager will assist migrants in navigating job opportunities, vocational training, and educational enrollment, while also organizing community integration activities to foster a sense of belonging and support among migrant populations. The role demands a strong commitment to understanding the unique challenges faced by migrants and developing tailored support plans to address their needs effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and culturally appropriate information on available support services to migrants.
  • Facilitate access to services through established referral pathways.
  • Assist migrants in accessing job opportunities, vocational training, and career counseling.
  • Provide guidance on fair labor practices and safe working conditions.
  • Support educational enrollment and skills development initiatives for migrants.
  • Organize community integration activities and awareness sessions to promote understanding and cooperation between migrants and local communities.
  • Build and maintain networks with community leaders, employers, and service providers to enhance support for migrants.
  • Conduct individual case management for vulnerable migrants, including risk assessments and the development of individual support plans.
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. 1
  • Support reporting and knowledge-sharing on integration trends and challenges to inform program development and improvement.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with migrant communities. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is also required. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the values of inclusion, integrity, professionalism, courage, and empathy as outlined in IOM's competency framework.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, or Migration Studies is required, along with two years of relevant experience. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma and four years of experience in related fields will also be considered. It is important that the educational qualifications are from accredited universities recognized in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
Candidates should have experience in labor market integration, community engagement, or educational support, demonstrating a solid understanding of the challenges faced by migrants in these areas. Experience working directly with migrant communities is highly valued, as is familiarity with the local labor market and educational systems.

Languages:
A good understanding of English, Ukrainian, and Hungarian (both oral and written) is required for this position. Fluency in Russian is considered a distinct advantage. The proficiency of the required languages will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

This position is subject to local recruitment, and only candidates holding a valid residence and work permit for Hungary will be eligible for consideration.
